Report Date: October 4, 2005
Study Title: Time Kill Test Assay for Antimicrobial Agents

Test Organisms:
Clostridium difficile (ATCC 9689)
Enterococcus faecalis Vancomycin Resistant (ATCC 51575)
Escherichia coli (ATCC 11229)
Escherichia coli O157:H7 (ATCC 35150)
Klebsiella pneumoniae (ATCC 4352)
Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 15442)
Salmonella typhi (ATCC 6539)
Serratia marcescens (ATCC 14756)
Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 6538)
Streptococcus pneumoniae (ATCC 6305)
Streptococcus pyogenes (ATCC 19615)

Exposure Times: 15, 30, 45 and 60 seconds (for S. aureus testing only)
15 seconds (for all other testing)

Test Procedure: A suspension of bacterial cells was exposed to the test substance for specified contact times. After exposure, an aliquot of the suspension was transferred to a neutralizing subculture media and assayed for survivors.

* CFU/mL = Colony Forming Units per mL of test mixture
